FT Remote Work

Communication Guide

Ok, so you've determined that a FT remote work arrangement is suitable for this particular role or for your team.

Follow the 2 steps below...

STEP 1

Read these definition of remote work and the approvals needed,

to ensure that this work arrangement still applies to the role or to your team:

Full-Time Remote Work

Full-time remote work is an arrangement to work from a site further than 150 miles from the Lab. These arrangements are driven by business needs. This type of work occurs when the employee works exclusively off-site as part of the terms and conditions of employment and does not maintain an office on one of our Berkeley Lab sites. Depending on the situation, remote work may have pay, tax, and/or benefits implications for the employee.

Approvals: An arrangement for full-time remote work must be approved by an employee’s Division Director and Associate Lab Director.
