FT Telework

Communication Guide

Ok, so you've determined that a FT telework arrangement is suitable for this particular role or for your team.

Follow the 2 steps below...

STEP 1

Read these definition of telework and the approvals needed,

to ensure that this work arrangement still applies to the role or to your team:

Full-Time Telework

Full-time telework is an arrangement for an employee to work full time from a site other than a Berkeley Lab provided workspace that is within 150 miles of the Lab. This mode may be feasible for employees who are able to perform their work and effectively meet the mission needs of their division or department without being physically present on a Lab site. A dedicated workstation on a Lab site will not be provided for full-time telework employees. Supervisors are able to establish expectations for employees who work on a full-time telework schedule to work onsite on an occasional basis and not on a set schedule. Work locations for occasional telework visits will be determined by their division leadership and managed within their existing division space.

Approvals: Eligibility for this kind of work mode requires the approval of the supervisor and Division Director.
